PROFANE OMEN Sign With DETHRONE MUSIC
January 17, 2006Finnish thrash/melo-death band PROFANE OMEN have inked a deal with Dethrone Music. The group are scheduled to record their debut album over a three-week period beginning on January 27 at Hideaway and Villvox studios with producer Ville Sorvali. A late spring release is expected.
In other news, PROFANE OMEN have parted ways with drummer Mika Tanttu. "Mika left the band and is now consentrating on his primary band KILL THE ROMANCE," the group write on their web site. "New drummer is Samuli Mikkola, who plays also in END BEGINS and UHRILEHTO."
PROFANE OMEN are from Lahti, Finland and were founded in 1999. Their current lineup is as follows:
Jules Näveri (BURNING EMPIRE) - Vocals
Andy J. Bonfire (KILL THE ROMANCE) - Guitar
Williami Kurkki - Guitar
Tuomas Saarenketo - Bass
Samuli Mikkola (END BEGINS, UHRILEHTO) – Drums
PROFANE OMEN's most recent release was a mini-CD, entitled "Adrenaline". The EP was recorded and mixed at Sonic Pump Studios by Nino Laurenne (THUNDERSTONE) and was produced by Panu Willman (ex-ENTWINE/BEFORE THE DAWN, currently in DARK FILTH FRATERNITY).
